Impressive! I was hoping this tool would be worth the investment. I have not had the chance to use the gut hook yet, but the knife I used several times and was very pleased. I also used the screw driver and it worked quite nice also. What really surprised me was how well the pliers worked. Not all pliers were created equal. I've used craftsmen, snap-on and others before. These pliers to me worked just as well as the snap-on pliers possibly even better. I was pulling staples out of sealed heavy duty plastic packaging and to my amazement, these pliers never slipped off the staples as I pulled them straight out with plenty of force. Maybe Leatherman should make a line of professional tools.

I have had 3 other leatherman tools and have really liked them all. i recently purchased the charge after giving my wave to a friend. i love the removeable pocket clip and the s30v blade. i would never carry the wave in my pocket so i always had it in my computer bag or backpack which meant i often found myself in need of the tool when i didn't have it on me. with the clip, it fits more comfortably in my pocket and i always have it on me. the s30v blade takes a nice edge and doesn't dull easily. i have taken the tool camping several times and use it often to repair things around the house and on the job. it's sturdy and all of the tools i have used work very well. i also it feels slightly lighter than the wave did. so far i am happy with the upgrade.

This is my first Leatherman, I did a lot of research before I bought it and I love it. I got the one in the gift tin because it has a leather sheath v.s. others with nylon. The tools work great although all are stiff until oiled and broken in. It is very solid fells great in your had even when squeezing hard.
The knives have great edges on them and seem to stay sharp. The saw is very sharp and aggressive. I could not be happier.
